Troubleshooting & FAQs

Why don't I see an install button?

Browsers hide the native install prompt if the app is already installed, if you are browsing in Private/Incognito mode, or if you are using an in-app browser (such as inside Twitter/Instagram). Use your browser's standard menu instead.

Does PDFHub work offline?

Yes, for core client-side PDF operations! Previously loaded tools (like Merge, Split, Compress, Rotate, and Crop) work locally in your browser without requiring an active internet connection.

Are my PDF documents private?

100% private. Standard operations process your files in client-side WebAssembly and JavaScript directly on your device. Your documents are never uploaded to a remote server.

How do I uninstall or reinstall?

In Chrome/Edge desktop: Click the ⋮ menu in the app title bar and select Uninstall PDFHub. On Android or iOS: Long-press the PDFHub home icon and tap Remove or Uninstall.
