These terms govern the entirety of the website, its 33 client-side tools, the local workspace, and any related guides or resources.

PDFHub is provided for lawful personal, educational, and professional document management. You are free to process documents for yourself, your organization, or your clients subject to the following rules:

• Lawful operations: You agree not to use PDFHub to infringe copyright, trademark, trade secret, or other intellectual property rights.
• No malicious activities: You may not upload or process files containing malware, worms, trojans, ransomware, or exploits designed to compromise browsers or users.
• No illegal bypassing: You may not use password-removal or unlock tools on documents for which you do not possess legal authorization or ownership.
• No automated abuse: You may not attempt denial-of-service attacks, automated scraping that degrades the hosting platform, or unauthorized circumvention of security controls.

You retain 100% ownership and copyright of all files and content that you open or create using PDFHub. PDFHub does not claim any intellectual property rights or licenses over your documents.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that:

• You hold the necessary legal rights, licenses, or permissions to manipulate the selected documents.
• You maintain independent, secure backups of all original source files prior to performing modifications, conversions, or page deletions.
• You review and inspect every converted or exported document for completeness and visual fidelity prior to sharing, filing, or relying upon it.

PDFHub is designed as a browser-first application. For standard tools (including merge, split, compress, edit, convert, watermark, and sign), processing operations occur locally within your browser's execution memory using WebAssembly and JavaScript libraries. Original files are not transmitted to any PDFHub backend server.

For your convenience, PDFHub stores minimal local state in your browser's localStorage (such as your dark/light theme setting, pinned favorite tools, and recent tool shortcuts). This data resides exclusively on your local device. On public or shared computers, you should use the Manage Local Data control in the Privacy Center to clear this information before ending your session.

While PDFHub uses industry-standard rendering and document engines (including pdf-lib, PDF.js, and Tesseract.js), automated transformations, OCR text extractions, layout conversions, and AI summaries are inherently subject to technical limitations.

Results may exhibit differences in font substitution, kerning, complex vector formatting, scanned image clarity, or text recognition accuracy. PDFHub does not guarantee that any generated output is error-free, legally valid, or suitable for court filing, financial audits, medical records, or contractual compliance. You must verify all critical output against your source document.

PDFHub is offered on a free-to-use basis without service-level agreements (SLAs) or guarantees of uninterrupted, error-free uptime. We reserve the right to improve, modify, suspend, or discontinue individual tools, features, or website sections at any time without prior notice.

We may periodically update these Terms & Conditions to reflect technical enhancements, architectural modifications, or legal obligations. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page indicates the effective revision. Your continued use of the website following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Certain features and styling depend on third-party public content delivery networks (CDNs) and APIs, including:

• Cloudflare cdnjs: For delivering open-source JavaScript libraries (pdf-lib, pdf.js, font-awesome).
• Google Fonts: For serving web typography.
• Translation & AI APIs: The Translate PDF tool connects to the MyMemory Translation API, and the AI Summarizer tool connects to configured external endpoints.

Third-party resources operate under their own independent terms of service and privacy policies. PDFHub exercises no direct control over external service availability or external policies.

PDFHUB AND ALL ASSOCIATED TOOLS, CODE, AND DOCUMENTATION ARE PROVIDED STRICTLY ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
